This custom-built 60th birthday cake was designed as a personal portrait in cake form, bringing together the defining interests, memories, and humour of the person it was created for.
The multi-tier design weaves together references to music, film, sport, and personal symbolism. Elements include nods to Deep Purple, classic film favourites such as Star Wars, Doctor Who, a basketball topper, a cricket ball, and a sculptural moose feature, a playful reference to the nickname the cake was built around.
Each tier was treated as its own chapter, layered together to tell a single story. The result is a cake that feels less like a theme and more like a reflection of a life well lived.
Cakes of this nature sit outside our standard menu due to the level of customisation, structural planning, and detailing involved. Every portrait-style celebration cake is quoted individually based on the brief and creative scope.
