Terms & Conditions of Hire & Services

The Client unconditionally accepts the following Terms & Conditions when booking with Spodeli.


DEFINITIONS

“Spodeli” / “The Hire Company” refers to Spodeli (trading as Spodeli Newcastle).
“Client” refers to any individual, business or organisation hiring equipment or purchasing services from Spodeli.
“Hire Items / Equipment” refers to all items hired or supplied by Spodeli, including but not limited to chairs, furniture, styling items and accessories.
“Event Date” refers to the date supplied by the Client for the event or hire period.


OWNERSHIP

All hire items remain the property of Spodeli at all times.
The Client accepts full responsibility for all hire items during the hire period and is liable for any loss, damage, theft or non-return.


CONDITIONS OF HIRE

  • Hire commences from the agreed delivery or collection time and ends at the agreed return or collection time.

  • Any extension to the hire period must be approved by Spodeli. Additional fees will apply if items are not returned on time.

  • All hire items are checked, cleaned and counted prior to dispatch.

  • The Client must notify Spodeli of any missing or damaged items prior to the event commencing. Failure to do so deems the items accepted in good condition.

  • Availability is not guaranteed until a booking is confirmed with payment.


PAYMENTS

  • Spodeli reserves the right to recover outstanding amounts via debt collection, with all associated costs payable by the Client.

  • Credit card details are required at booking and may be charged for unpaid post-event fees in accordance with these terms.


DELIVERY, COLLECTION & DRY HIRE

  • Delivery, collection and labour fees are quoted separately unless stated.

  • Weekend, public holiday or out-of-hours deliveries may incur additional fees.

  • Dry hire (Client collection & return) is available for selected items only and must occur during Spodeli’s nominated business hours.

  • Hire items must be returned clean, stacked and ready for collection in one accessible location.

  • If items are not accessible or packed down as agreed, additional labour fees may apply.


NON-RETURNED OR LATE RETURNED ITEMS

  • Hire items not returned by the agreed date will incur a daily late fee equal to 50% of the total hire fee, charged per day.

  • Late fees will be deducted from the Client’s security deposit or charged to the card used for booking.

  • Once the deposit is exhausted, ongoing charges will continue to be charged to the nominated card.

  • If items are not returned within 5 business days, they will be deemed lost and charged at full replacement value.


DAMAGE, LOSS & CLEANING

  • The Client is responsible for all hire items during the hire period.

  • Any lost, stolen, broken or damaged items will be charged at full replacement cost.

  • Items returned excessively dirty will incur cleaning fees.

  • Weather damage is the Client’s responsibility. Items must be protected from rain, heat and moisture at all times.

  • Charges up to $500 may be automatically charged to the stored credit card if unpaid after 7 days.


REFUNDS

Refunds may be considered where:

  • An item or service could not be supplied by Spodeli

  • An item arrived damaged due to Spodeli’s fault


INSURANCE & INDEMNITY

  • Hire items are not insured during the hire period.

  • The Client indemnifies Spodeli against all claims, damages, injury or loss arising from use of the hire items.


FORCE MAJEURE

Spodeli shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, government restrictions or supply disruptions.


ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By placing a booking, paying a deposit, or taking possession of hire items, the Client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
